Ohio Farm Bureau's Young Ag Professionals Leadership Announced
Ohio Ag Connection - 04/03/2024

Ohio Farm Bureau's Young Agricultural Professionals (YAP) program welcomes its 2024 leadership team, bringing together passionate individuals committed to advancing agriculture and rural communities. Here's a closer look at the newly appointed committee members:

• Chaircouple Luke and Kayla Durbin: Based in Tuscarawas and Coshocton counties, the Durbins are full-time grain farmers and owners of Durbin Land and Cattle. Alongside their farming responsibilities, they actively participate in Farm Bureau events at state and national levels, contribute to youth agricultural programs, and mentor aspiring farmers.

• Co-chairs Tim and Sarah Terrill: Operating a farm in Montgomery County specializing in Boer goats, the Terrills are deeply involved in 4-H projects and agricultural education. Their dedication extends beyond the farm as they lead county YAP initiatives and contribute to youth development programs.

• Secretary Carly Fitz: Balancing her role as a program assistant at The Ohio State University with farm duties in Perry County, Fitz brings a unique perspective to the committee. With a focus on rural economic development, she actively engages in Farm Bureau events and pursues higher education to contribute to the future of agriculture.

The YAP program, catering to Farm Bureau members aged 18-35, offers various leadership and professional growth opportunities, including leadership experiences and contests recognizing excellence in agriculture.

With this dynamic leadership team at the helm, Ohio Farm Bureau's Young Agricultural Professionals program continues to nurture the next generation of leaders and innovators in the agricultural community.
