Apply for 2024 agriculture impact fund grants now

By Andi Anderson

The Logan County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce that applications for the 2024 Logan County Agriculture Impact Fund grants are now open.

This grant program, funded through proceeds from the annual Agriculture Impact Fund Reverse Raffle event, is designed to support agricultural initiatives and encourage youth engagement within the agricultural sector of Logan County.

The Agriculture Impact Fund grants are available to organizations, classrooms, and programs that aim to promote agriculture while focusing on youth development.

Eligible projects must have a minimum budget of $500 and be completed by November 30, 2025. Applications will be evaluated on a competitive basis, with a focus on their potential to enrich the agricultural community and inspire youth involvement in agriculture.

In addition to the main grant program, the Farm Bureau is expanding its mini-grant initiative this fall. The mini-grants, each capped at $500, are intended for smaller organizations, clubs, or classrooms focused on teaching agricultural concepts and fostering youth development. A total of four mini-grants will be awarded during this cycle.

Key deadlines for the grant programs are as follows:

The deadline for full grant applications is November 1, 2024.

The deadline for mini-grant applications is November 15, 2024.

All applicants will be notified of their award status by December 1, 2024.

The Farm Bureau encourages schools, organizations, and the broader community to spread the word and participate in this opportunity. Over the past seven years, the Agriculture Impact Fund has awarded over $65,000 in grants to support local agricultural projects.

For more information and to apply, interested parties are invited to visit the Farm Bureau’s website at www.ofbf.org/counties/logan.
