The upcoming CIFT Agricultural Forum in July is set to showcase an engaging discussion on the development and commercialization of soy-based products. Barry McGraw, the founder and chief laboratory officer of Ohio-based Airable Research Lab, will be the esteemed guest speaker for this enlightening event.
Scheduled for July 20 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., the presentation titled "Soy-based Product Development and Commercialization" will be accessible both in person at the Northwest Ohio Cooperative Kitchen in Bowling Green and virtually through Zoom.
Airable Research Lab, a subsidiary of the Ohio Soybean Council and headquartered in Delaware, Ohio, is at the forefront of utilizing the vast experience and expertise in the soybean industry to create sustainable and innovative solutions through bio-based chemistry. By partnering with various companies, the lab aims to explore the possibilities of integrating soybeans into existing products or even inventing entirely new ones.
The lab's impressive portfolio includes cutting-edge technologies in soy-based cationic surfactant, scale inhibitor, soy-based plasticizer, and polyol. Additionally, Airable Research Lab has successfully developed notable products such as Roof Maxx and DeWalt Bar & Cham Oil, showcasing the versatility and potential of soybeans.
The Ohio Soybean Council, overseen by a dedicated farmer board, plays a vital role in directing the soybean promotion and research program. By utilizing farmer-contributed funds, the council endeavors to enhance soybean profitability through investments in research, development, marketing, and educational initiatives.
Barry McGraw, who also serves as the director of product development and commercialization for the soybean council, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the forum. With a Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering from Shawnee State University and an MBA certification from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, McGraw is well-equipped to share valuable insights into the world of soy-based product development.
The presentation is open to the public and offers free admission. Interested participants are kindly requested to RSVP secure their spot, whether attending in person or joining virtually via Zoom. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about soy-based innovations and explore the potential of this remarkable agricultural resource.
