Residents of Trumbull County and neighboring communities are invited to a free, no-obligation Medicare educational seminar on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The event takes place at the Trumbull County Agriculture & Family Education Center, 520 W Main Street, Cortland, Ohio. Hosted by Platt Insurance, the Trumbull County Farm Bureau, and Yost Insurance Agency, this seminar is designed to help first-time enrollees and current beneficiaries make confident, informed decisions about Medicare.
Licensed experts from Yost Insurance will explain the Medicare basics in clear language. Topics include how and when to apply for Medicare, whether you need both Parts A and B, what Original Medicare does and does not cover, how Medicare Part D prescription drug plans work, and the differences between Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policies.
Presenters will also outline important enrollment windows, penalties for late enrollment, and practical steps to compare plans based on doctors, hospitals, medications, and budget.
To make the evening comfortable and relaxed, food and drinks will be provided. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the program will include time for questions so participants can get answers tailored to their situations. Attendees are encouraged to bring a list of medications and physicians to make the discussion more useful.
