The Ohio Farm Bureau has announced the appointment of Arica Hamilton of Eaton as its new organization director. In her new position, Hamilton will represent and serve Farm Bureau members in Delaware, Franklin, Madison, and Union counties, helping local organizations address key agricultural and community issues.
Hamilton’s strong background in both agriculture and public policy makes her well-suited for the role. Growing up in Preble County, she was active in youth agricultural programs, spending 10 years in 4-H and four years in FFA, where she developed leadership skills and a deep appreciation for farming.
Her professional experience includes internships with Congressman Troy Balderson’s district office and Congressman Bob Gibbs in Washington, D.C. Most recently, she worked as a policy analyst for the American Farm Bureau Federation, gaining valuable insight into national agricultural policy, renewable energy, and Farm Bureau’s grassroots advocacy system.
Hamilton holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communication from The Ohio State University, where she also earned minors in public policy and agribusiness and applied economics.
During her time at Ohio State, she served as social chair for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Student Council, worked as associate sales manager for AgriNaturalist Magazine, and was a John Glenn Fellow through the Washington Academic Internship Program.
In her new leadership position, Hamilton will work closely with county Farm Bureaus to advance agricultural development, advocate for farmer interests, and strengthen rural communities across central Ohio.
The Ohio Farm Bureau remains committed to its mission of working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities.
