Kameron Rinehart of Fayette County has been named the winner of the 2025 Ohio Farm Bureau Young Agricultural Professionals Discussion Meet. The results were announced on February 8 at the YAP Winter Leadership Experience.
The Discussion Meet tests participants on their agricultural knowledge, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate in group discussions. It encourages young agricultural professionals to collaborate and develop solutions for industry challenges.
Rinehart is a third-year Ph.D. candidate and graduate assistant at Texas Tech University. He previously earned his master’s degree in agricultural communication, education, and leadership from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business from Wilmington College.
Actively involved in the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Rinehart has served as co-chair of the Ohio Farm Bureau Young Agricultural Professionals State Committee and president of the Fayette County Farm Bureau. He is also a trustee for the Ohio 4-H Foundation Board, where he works to engage young alumni and promote leadership in agriculture.
As the winner, Rinehart receives a $3,000 cash prize, an expense-paid trip to the 2025 Ohio Farm Bureau Annual Meeting, and a trip to the 2026 American Farm Bureau Annual Convention in Anaheim, California, where he will compete at the national level. His prizes are sponsored by Nationwide and Farm Credit Mid-America.
Other finalists in the competition were Kendall Lovejoy of Fulton County, Lori Romie of Hardin County, and Mason Brown of Scioto County. Each finalist receives a $250 cash prize, embroidered apparel, and free registration for the 2025 YAP Winter Leadership Experience.
The Ohio Farm Bureau Young Agricultural Professionals program provides leadership development for members aged 18-35. It hosts leadership events and contests to support young farmers and agricultural professionals.
