Registration is now open for the 2025 Ohio 4-H Spark EXPO, a transformative event for high school students, held June 12–14 at The Ohio State University Columbus campus.
This annual program provides ninth and tenth graders with hands-on experiences and career exploration opportunities across diverse fields.
Hosted by Ohio 4-H youth development, part of Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), the event is designed to inspire students to discover their passions and build essential skills.
Participants will interact with industry experts, faculty, and staff while exploring career pathways in biosciences, engineering, food systems, and health sciences.
Students will also gain insights into campus life, staying in residence halls and connecting with college students and mentors. Through interactive programming, they will develop critical leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
According to Jeff McCutcheon, interim state 4-H leader, “Programs like Spark EXPO empower youth to envision their future and take meaningful steps toward their goals.”
The program is open to all students, including non-4-H members, and emphasizes accessibility. Scholarships are available to ensure participation for everyone. Registration closes on April 1, with limited spots available, so early sign-up is encouraged.
By combining real-world learning, mentorship, and leadership development, the Spark EXPO prepares students for success in a rapidly evolving world. Don’t miss this chance to ignite your future and explore exciting career opportunities.
