These additions mark a significant step in fortifying Ohio's corn and small grain industries.
Tadd Nicholson, the executive director of Ohio Corn & Wheat, highlighted the crucial role played by board members in steering the organization towards success. He stated the strategic planning, setting priorities, and providing essential resources to empower farmers in their business endeavors.
Meet the New Leaders:
Sam Boyce: Elected to represent District 4 on the OCWGA board, Boyce is a Richland County farmer involved in corn, wheat, soybean, hay, and livestock production. His advocacy for young and beginning farmers was demonstrated through his participation in OCW's Emerging Leader Summit in 2023.
Ken Swartz: Joining the OCMP Board of Directors, Swartz, a fourth-generation producer from Wood County, is engaged in corn, wheat, and soybean farming. Actively involved in Farm Bureau and St. John’s Lutheran Church, Swartz is enthusiastic about promoting the Ohio Corn Checkoff to secure opportunities for corn growers.
