Scioto County Farm Bureau Honors 2026 Scholarship Award Winners

The Scioto County Farm Bureau has proudly announced its 2026 scholarship recipients, recognizing outstanding students for their academic achievements and future goals. These scholarships are designed to support young individuals as they continue their education and build successful careers in agriculture, science, and healthcare fields.

Carson Carver, a graduate of Portsmouth West High School, is one of the scholarship recipients. He plans to attend Morehead State University, where he will study veterinary science. His area of study reflects a strong interest in animal health and agriculture, which plays an important role in supporting livestock and farming communities.

Grace Lucas, also a graduate of Portsmouth West High School, has been awarded a scholarship for her academic accomplishments. She will be attending Shawnee State University to study sonography. Her chosen field focuses on healthcare and medical imaging, which is essential for diagnosing and treating patients.

Another recipient, Wilson Kegley, has also graduated from Portsmouth West High School. He plans to continue his education at The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute. His course of study will focus on livestock production and management. This area of learning is directly connected to agriculture and will help him develop skills needed for modern farming practices.

Elijah Brown has been named the recipient of the Scioto County Farm Bureau and Pfleger Insurance Scholarship. A graduate of Wheelersburg High School, he will attend Marshall University to study biology and pre-medicine. His future goal is to build a career in the medical field, contributing to health services and scientific advancement.

These scholarships highlight the Farm Bureau’s commitment to supporting education and encouraging young students to pursue meaningful careers. By investing in students, the organization helps build a strong future for agriculture and related industries.
