An important agronomy and farm management program will be organized in Paulding County to support farmers facing rising input costs and decreasing crop prices. The event, titled Agronomy Morning, will take place on Thursday, June 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Paulding County Extension Office, located at 503 Fairground Drive, Paulding, Ohio.
This half-day program aims to help agricultural producers better understand modern farming challenges and improve their decision-making. As farm margins continue to tighten, proper management and evaluation of agronomic practices have become essential for maintaining productivity and profitability.
The event is organized by Ohio State University Extension, which works closely with farmers to provide practical knowledge and solutions. The program will include four informative presentations covering important topics such as nutrient management, soil health, and farm succession planning. These areas are crucial for improving crop yields, maintaining soil quality, and ensuring smooth transitions of farm ownership across generations.
The speakers for the program include experienced professionals from Ohio State Extension. Sarah Noggle, Extension Educator in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Rachel Henry, Water Quality Extension Associate, and Amber Emmons, Water Quality Extension Associate, will share their knowledge and expertise with attendees. Their sessions will offer useful insights into improving farming practices and managing resources efficiently.
Participants will learn about maintaining balanced soil nutrients, improving soil structure, and protecting water quality. The session on farm succession planning will help farmers prepare for the future by organizing ownership and management transitions effectively. These discussions are designed to provide clear and practical guidance in simple terms.
Although the event is free to attend, registration is required to estimate participation. Interested individuals can register online through the provided link.
