The Muskingum County Farm Bureau Scholarship, in partnership with Boyer Insurance, offers a unique opportunity for students interested in agriculture careers.
This program is designed to provide hands-on experience, allowing participants to shadow industry leaders, explore various job opportunities, and build valuable connections.
The scholarship program includes a two-day experience where participants will spend time in real-world agricultural settings. Students will learn about day-to-day operations in different areas of the agriculture industry, from farm management to agricultural business and technology.
This immersive experience will help students understand the diverse career paths available beyond traditional farming.
Participants who complete the two-day program will receive a $1,500 scholarship to support their postsecondary education. Eligible students must be seniors at a Muskingum County High School or homeschooled in Muskingum County.
Applicants must also be enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year degree program, trade school, certificate program, or licensing program.
With 1 in 8 jobs in Ohio connected to agriculture, this scholarship provides students with exposure to a variety of careers in the industry. The program aims to inspire future agricultural professionals by offering practical learning experiences and networking opportunities with experts.
The scholarship application deadline is April 4, 2025. Interested students should apply soon to take advantage of this valuable career-building opportunity.
