By Andi Anderson

The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation has announced the appointment of new board members and officers for 2025. This 14-member board oversees the foundation’s mission of fostering agricultural education and career development in Ohio.

New board members include Mike McCoy, CEO of Bob Evans Farms; Hinda Mitchell, president of Inspire PR Group; and Matt Vodraska, Ohio Farm Bureau District 8 Trustee.

Derek Snider from AgCredit joins as the Young Agricultural Professionals representative. These leaders bring diverse expertise in agriculture, business, and communication to the foundation.

Mike McCoy, with extensive experience in financial operations and strategic planning, has been with Bob Evans Farms since 2018 and currently serves as president and CEO of Post Refrigerated Retail.

Hinda Mitchell, a seasoned public relations advisor, specializes in food and agriculture communications, helping national organizations navigate complex challenges. Derek Snider, a senior account officer at AgCredit, also contributes hands-on farming experience from his family’s grain and livestock operation.

Matt Vodraska, owner of Rittman Orchard and Bent Ladder Cider and Wine, brings insights from his experience as a farmer and cider-maker. He has been actively involved in the Farm Bureau since 2009 and was named Ohio Farm Bureau’s Outstanding Young Farmer in 2019.

For 2025, Nathan Brown, Ohio Farm Bureau District 20 Trustee, will serve as president. Doug Miller from Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives will take on the role of first vice president, while Danielle Burch becomes second vice president. Ohio Farm Bureau Treasurer Adele Flynn will continue as treasurer.

The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation is dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue careers in agriculture. Through scholarships, programs, and grants, the foundation works to build a skilled workforce ready to support Ohio’s agricultural communities.

By appointing experienced leaders, the foundation aims to bridge the gap in agricultural careers and create opportunities for the next generation of farmers.
