The Ohio State University will host the 2026 Organic Grains Conference on January 7 and 8, 2026, at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Sandusky, Ohio. This annual event is designed for organic grain growers and industry professionals looking to expand their knowledge and connect with experts across the Midwest.

Registration for attendees is now open. The early bird rate is $140 per person for those registering before December 5, while the regular rate after that date will be $175 per person. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.

The 2026 conference will feature a strong educational lineup, including keynote speakers Dr. Matt Ryan from Cornell University, Willie Hughes of Hughes Farm in Wisconsin, Nate Powell-Palm of Powell Palm Ag Services, and Dr. Aaron Wilson from Ohio State University. Each speaker brings unique insights on sustainable grain production, market strategies, and the future of organic agriculture.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in three breakout session tracks focused on agronomic practices, marketing and farm management, and the latest organic grain research.

Presentations will be led by experienced farmers, researchers, and educators from Ohio and neighboring states, offering valuable perspectives on organic production challenges and solutions.

A research poster session will also be featured this year, welcoming submissions from students, university staff, and farmer researchers. Abstracts for poster presentations are due by November 15, providing a platform to showcase innovative ideas and findings in organic grain systems.

Participants can follow the Agroecosystem Management Program on Facebook for updates and program announcements.

The 2026 Ohio State Organic Grains Conference promises an engaging and informative experience, fostering collaboration and advancement within the organic farming community across the Midwest.
