Ohio Agriculture Business Association (OABA) has announced four Grain Grading Schools in 2023 for Ohio State. The schools are designed to educate individuals on grain grading principles and prepare them for the Commodity Tester Certification test.
The first school will be held on June 7, at McComb High School, 328 Todd St., McComb, OH 45858.
The second one will be held on July 20, at OSU Wooster – Skou Hall 100, 1889 Garrison Circle W, Wooster, Ohio 44691.
The third school will be held on August 24, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1801 Saint Paris Pike, Springfield, Ohio 45504.
The last school, which is new for 2023, will be held on September 14, at Ohio Department of Agriculture, 8995 E Main St, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
Individuals who need to renew their Commodity Tester Certificate can choose the Test-Only option for $10, which allows them to take the test without attending the full Grain Grading School. Test-Only individuals are advised to arrive by 12:15 pm for the 12:30 pm test.
Interested individuals can register for the Grain Grading Schools through the OABA website, oaba.net/grain-grading. The registration fee for each school is $80 per person, which includes lunch, a handbook, and study materials. The schools offer valuable education for those involved in the grain industry and help ensure accurate grading and testing of grain.
