Eleven county Farm Bureau projects in Ohio have earned national recognition for their unique, local, and volunteer-driven programs that serve as models of innovation for local program development. The winning counties will receive a grant to fund participation in the Farm Bureau CAE Showcase at the 2024 American Farm Bureau Annual Convention & Trade Show in Salt Lake City.
The winning projects are:
- Adams County: Farm Bureau Day at the Fair
- Auglaize, Logan, Mercer and Shelby Counties: Local Agriculture Activity Book
- Clinton County: Piggies, Pie, Play Ball and Putt Putt
- Fayette County: Farm to Fork Goes to Town
- Fulton County: Tomato to Table, A Breakfast on the Farm Event
- Henry County: Shine in the Show Ring, A Leadership Development Livestock Show for Individuals with Special Needs
- Muskingum County: Building for the Future of Agriculture
- Trumbull County: Books and Barns Ag Literacy Project
These projects represent a wide range of agricultural education, outreach, and leadership development activities. They are all designed to engage local communities and promote agriculture.
The Ohio Farm Bureau is proud of the work that these counties are doing to support agriculture. The CAE awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of Ohio Farm Bureau staff and volunteers.
