Ag Safety Day will be held on March 28, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., offering important safety education for farmers, rural families, and community members.
The event will feature a tractor rollover demonstration designed to highlight common farm hazards and promote safer agricultural practices.
Tractor rollovers remain one of the leading causes of serious injuries and fatalities in agriculture. This event aims to raise awareness by showing how rollovers occur and how proper equipment use, planning, and response can reduce risks.
The demonstration will help attendees better understand the importance of safety measures such as equipment stabilization and proper response during emergencies.
Ag Safety Day will provide valuable hands-on opportunities for first responders. Participants are encouraged to bring their safety gear and practice equipment stabilization techniques in a controlled environment.
This training supports real world preparedness and strengthens coordination between agricultural operations and emergency response teams.
Attendance at the event is eligible for workers’ compensation group rating program credits, making it especially valuable for farm employers and agricultural businesses. These credits help recognize proactive efforts to improve workplace safety and reduce accident risks.
The event is designed to be welcoming and accessible. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided for all registered participants, allowing attendees to focus fully on learning and engagement throughout the day.
Registration is required to attend Ag Safety Day. Interested individuals can register online or contact the office directly by calling 419-518-6055 for assistance. Early registration is encouraged to help organizers plan for participation and materials.
Ag Safety Day reflects a continued commitment to promoting safer farming environments through education, demonstration, and hands-on training. By bringing together farmers, community members, and first responders, the event supports shared responsibility for safety and preparedness in agricultural settings.
