The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) has announced the winners of its 2025 awards, celebrating individuals who have made significant contributions to sustainable agriculture. The awards were presented during OEFFA’s 46th annual conference, held from February 13-15 in Newark, Ohio.
The Stewardship Award was given to Dave Shively of Henry County for his dedication to sustainable farming practices. His work has helped promote ecological agriculture and environmental conservation.
The Service Award went to Amalie Lipstreu of Licking County for her extraordinary support of sustainable agriculture. Her efforts have strengthened policies and programs that benefit Ohio’s farming communities.
The Beginning Farmer Award was presented to Molly Sowash and CJ Morgan of Athens County, recognizing their commitment to innovation and perseverance in overcoming barriers faced by new farmers.
OEFFA Executive Director Khara Strum praised the winners, highlighting their impact on the farming community. "These individuals are true leaders, breaking down barriers and sharing their knowledge to uplift others. When we work together, we grow together," she said.
The annual OEFFA awards celebrate the resilience and dedication of Ohio’s farming community, emphasizing the importance of sustainability and collaboration in the agricultural industry.
