The Ohio CCA Program is currently accepting nominations for the 2024 Certified Crop Adviser of the Year award. This award, organized by the state program, aims to honor an exceptional individual who excels in providing outstanding customer service to farmer clients in nutrient management, soil and water management, integrated pest management, and crop production. Additionally, this individual should have significantly contributed to sharing ideas and spreading agronomic knowledge within Ohio's agricultural industry.
The winner of this prestigious award will be officially recognized at the 2024 Conservation Tillage and Technology Conference scheduled for March 12-13 in Ada, Ohio. Along with the honor, the recipient will be awarded a plaque, receive acknowledgment in industry publications, and be granted a $1,500 cash prize, generously sponsored by the Ohio Association of Independent Crop Consultants, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, and Nutrien.
Several notable individuals have been past recipients of this award, including Alex Lindsey from Ohio State University, Tina Lust from Lust Seed Sales & Service, Thomas Puch from Heritage Cooperative, Wesley Haun from Tiger-Sul Products, LLC, and Don Boehm from Legacy Farmers Cooperative.
